LIFE LEARNING LESSONS

--- 361dm META TRAINING ---

I had been a part of the Meta Training, organized by Covansys and conducted by a small company called 361degree (www.361dm.com).

The pricipal facilitator, was Gopi, The coordinator was Ram, and the Guide and book creations were from Ritu.

(In the picture on left, you can find Ram, Ritu and Gopi).

Look at them...

Gopi, Ritu and Ram are batchmates from BITS Pilani, Class of 1991. A natural TEAM - they are friends since they met in 1987, have complementary skill sets, and have come together at 361° minds™. They aspire to make it a Preferred Partner for Corporates worldwide in the areas of learning and evaluation of employees and organizations. 'The Best, not the Biggest', is what they want to be.Gopi and Ritu majored in Management, and Ram in Pharma. After college, the three of them worked in completely diverse areas - Gopi in training, consulting and business; Ritu in research & creation, and business; and Ram in business development, sales, marketing and customer / partner relations. In terms of geographical markets, Gopi and Ritu have worked across organizations in India, while Ram, in addition to India, has worked for close to 10 years in the Middle East. In various capacities, the trio has worked across a broad span of products and services companies.Experiences that will help them at 361° minds™

Gopi as a keynote speaker has contributed on many occasions in corporates, research institutions, universities, colleges and schools. These include addressing top-30 scientists of India at NIAS (IISc Bangalore) on 'leading technocrats' ; speaking as a guest of honour on landmark celebrations of organizations and conferences.
Gopi as a trainer and facilitator has worked with senior leaders, managers and executives across more than 100 organizations.
Ritu as a learning content creator has designed many learning simulations, psychometrics, activity based psychometrics and practice exercises that have become a part of many training programs across companies.

Ritu has designed many workshops for corporate executives and other groups of adults like parents of school going children. She has also done extensive research on adult learning.
Gopi and Ritu, as a team, are also consulting India's leading education company in their visioning, strategic planning, new projects evaluation and organization development.
As a part of learning and research, Gopi personally mentors corporate executives and college students who aspire for higher education in India and abroad.
Ram specializes in product / services management that in
volves intensive training, coaching and mentoring of medical experts, healthcare leaders, senior executives and staff.
Ram has set up business units and run them hands-on for the 'critical' periods. As a part of their expansion, he has set up international franchise / dealer networks.

My experience with the training were fasinating to a great extent, 40 days of training not all 8 hours, but gives us a great working action oriented activies that really help you have a different way of looking at life. Gopi, is a single trainer, who can deliver the content right, has a great training experience and perfect to the core of deliver. Ritu's works on the guide are really great. Ram was wonderfully coordinating even though they werent their majors. (The difference between the first snap in the group and the second snap, was Ritu missing and found)

The SQL Party

We at SQL Star, joined for a 3 day tour, to Kodaikannal, Amazing party, Rizwan had his birthday on the second day.

List of things that we cannot forget and i remember are these:
We started in the afternoon from SQL Star.
We went up a steep where the waterfall started. Someone nearby said, there were snakes and we had to return back. Ramki and myself, even Rizwan were trying to play fool with our peers.
We drank and drank on the birthday of Rizwan, We applied Cake all over his face.
We had a single lover pairing, that bonded more than fevicol.
The unforgettable Skatting learning. Remember Madhu Rani for this.
The side pool of no waterfall and we had a great time with the 2nd and the 3rd snaps.
The journey, I was always with Madhu.
The chocolates and the fruits that we bought while returning. I dint have cash, so i used my credit card to get cash from one of the store.

This snap is all about 3 friends, dear to each other, Uma the ACS Guy, Me and Ramki.

This is the side pool with no waterfall, but we found a bit of stream to dive in, the whole gang.

Sexy snap morphed.

The Van and the tour.

Rememberance are a great way to relax, I found today after many years to blog on them.

A Level Ahead

I had attended the 4 day PMP 35PDU training, conducted from AstroWix starting from 23rd to 26th in Chennai, we had nearly 23 participants, The blog is all about them.

On the first day, we were natural and relectuant to learn, what we had known, most of them were related to the genral knowedge we possed, We meet different people everytime, and no two people have the same thoughts, that was discovered during the training, when a situation was given, 70% of the solutions vary, from people.

Should be call them now the intellectuals, Yeah, think so,, We should call them the future PMP, I was all ready for two things in life.

1. To take the risk of appearing for the training and obtaining the certification.
2. To make a definite change in my life.

About the trainer:

Trainer is, Upendra Giri, The google search would end up in PMP, he is an PMBOK by himself, without practical experience, and a full fledged process oriented guy, he comes from a small village in UP, and raised to the greatest level of setting is home and office at NCal US.

Have a reading on this profile below:

Upendra had been contributing to the Project Management community across the globe. So, It was a real Honor for us to learn the concepts from the legend, an intellectual by himself who can deliver the whole process, We learned the games of pmp, and the real fun is we gamed on the start to remember all the participants names, I had mine sa Sathya Sexy, karthikeyan King, Arrgoant, and all kinds of those. Its not going to be too long, to forget our peer names, but the 4 day training gave a full fledge learning curve to be more and it helped me to get new friends, not sure, these friends are going to be long, very long, but it just started, somedays later, i might blog on the other side of our friendship.
Our Team,
Total compramising of 23, let me put out my experience with them.
The first person whome i would like to blog is about SK, I had 2 SK's in my life, the first was Shiv Kumar of CSS who made me what im today, even though he shouted at me, each day, and we departed sad, He still is my boss. The second SK was my peer and a leader still working in SQL* Nunbgambakkam, Chennai, Srikanth is an excellent person by himself, spreading peace and love and knowledge on Oracle to everyone around him.
This SK is totally different, Santhana Krishnan, is a true leader and a knowledge base of running teams, Should be a great leader in rulling more teams of S/w projects around the globe. A true man of delight.
The second person is Ram in short for Ramachandran, the SC guy who works on his own routines, aged like my father to be and a real inspiration on all sides.
and...
We have this Jai, short in sight, literally sleeping in class, understanding few of the things and getting to think, how i have worked on this, This guy with RS. Mani are enterpiees, who grow the AXE Networks in KP Gardens in Chennai. Jai is a classic child of smile
RS Mani, my next seat guy who grows the AXE Networks, there were not really intrested in the certification, but to learn the concepts of manangment, they were in the WRONG place. RS Mani is a classic child of mannerism.
Balaji, due to numeral he has Balajee, is one of the key stakeholders of the show, Listing carefully to what ever he wanted, vouched for what he thought was true and pronouced correctly on his ability to move forward. Hey guys, he is the TOP Scorer of the event with 85% on his score card, allready ready for the PMP.
Charles, is a fun boy, in his mids, a quiet handsome looking guys, with a teenager look on his eyes, a charming personality who learned on the class.
Arun, the guy never spoke to anyone around him, i was poking him on this and he says thatz the way he lived, and the others were saying, Keeping quiet is an art, ah, it should be with your wife, not with others down the road.
Ramaswami, is a wonderful gentleman, from the civil industry, who laughed for every joke and sillest joke on the class, A learner who ages more than my father and a great inspiration to learn on things.
SenthilVel, remember me my best friend Senthil Velu in US now, I and Senthil have been growing to gether from the 8th standard at St.Bedes, But this Senthil Velu is from EDS, who cared as equal to a peer. He volutered most activites with his knowledge and caringness.
Gopan, the guy slept the whole 4 days, never wanted to attend a class as much as dry as this. He said, these things i have done it for the past 7 years, and what is the big deal in learning this. Upendra should have provided examples of where to use, how to use and the rest, but this guy never did or even when asked was able to give a understaning Example. In short Upendra never listen to us,
Rama Raju, the last row guy, he said, he is 54 years old, but looks damm challenging than most of us on the exam point of view, A guy who flew from dubai and stays at hydrabed and flew down to chennai to attend this class. A guy who made lots of C's during his carrer and wanted to settle down on some money earning business. Look out at this guy to join Astro as a Director.
Rahul Metha, Just like the Rahul Gandhi, had a face look and damm a good smile, is the first one to poll for things from his side with options, he is a good manager, most of his meetings, he is the one who speaks, he is highly knowledge and confused most times on this understanding, But a guy who would brainstrom with lots and lots of ideas that others cannot provide.
Sethu, The only bache, in our group, that is one of the reason he smiles big in the photos, you can see a lean guy with a great laughter with upendra, and that is him, he has a word of thought for everything discussed on the class. A great friend to be..
Chandra BL, not a law guy but this guy is a grown manager, a beer B, on his side and has a definition list of most things on the PMP, once upendra comes out with a what is the meaning of this, there comes a custom meaning from Chandra, such a wonderful guy who knows and practised most of the things around us related to PMP.
Yakgna, never forget his guy, its not an english name or a chinese nameor a japanese game to get twised, but a sanskrit name to get twisted, a real good peer who could share the great things on the training.
Saif, Ah Saif, its long to be late, he was much a sorry figure, a high tech guy with nearly 4 years manangment experience, manages a lot of difficulties all the time, has a wonderful voice and voices up to his point, mostly critics and mostly other thoughts that i havent experience, but Giri was even more softer to him. Ha ha the fights that were never answered. Safi joined the class on the 3rd day.
Karthikeyan, The King, is still remembering the words and the discussions of the class, a quiet observer with his own comments on the class and learned a big deal on the class.
Jai, a remarkable noted person at all ends of the class, who jotted down the most and the mere of the class notes, can see his mostly concentrating on the Giri and his speaches outside the class.
Anuop, changed according to the numerals, a look like malayali, but denies so, has a good expereince in the knowledge and mostly concentrated to how to pass the PMP than the others in line, even the subject.
Benny, dont worry if i called you the smoker, a smoker who loves to be outside most times, for a small puff, who loves to spend his time lisiting to people around him and discussing the most of lifes and class.
Manickam, a learner with a sense of certification, another peer who questions to peers on all the douts he has in class and outside the class.
Ramu the rediff guy, who works in and out of the office with a lot of phone calls and not answering them.
and me, came in for a purpose like most peers did.
the 35 PDU's the concept of getting certified and learned what to train and what not to train on a PMP Class.
Yours Sathya in blogging......
